Frequently Asked Questions
The short answer is you don’t. Realistically, Americans have been conditioned to believe that if they have never heard of something or seen it, it must be devious. Recently, while at a convention, a competitor shared a story. On a recovery, one of his associates went to a clients for a document signing. To the associate’s surprise, the clients love one arranged a sting operation with local law enforcement. It was their intention to have this villain arrested and serve justice. Up on investigation, all was found to be in order. Of course, the news had a front page field day with this. What an insult to the injury of the client by a do-gooder!
You have, they are just disguised with government rhetoric. This is precisely what the government wants us to believe. In our country, it is estimated that these losses occur at a rate of fourteen hundred a day. I do not know what the average dollar loss value is but let us use an extremely conservative number for illustration purposes. 1400 actions per business day X 250 average business days in a year X $1,000 plug number value = $35,000,000.00. That is thirty five million dollars a year lost by citizens. Please remember this is a low ball estimate. Realistically, this number is probably six to ten times that amount!
The truth really isn’t hidden just covered with a lot of fluff. In some jurisdictions, it is openly stated that those who have these losses actively pursue recovery themselves. They even go on to further state that it is not necessary to have groups like ours assist you in recovery and they openly discourage it. It gets even better These agencies tell us that we cannot assist with lost money recovery for the first year the loss is created. They cite that the money isn’t lost until after a year has elapsed to give you a fair chance to recover it on your own.
Plain and simply they don’t know that they are entitled to it and they don’t know where it is. It has been suggested that individuals lost their assets due to some sort of character flaw or uninformed decision. The loss is then considered as a penalty by the government for that poor judgement of that person. In essence, this is the blame game, you know the government is always right and the people are always taking advantage to make ends meet.
The only way our government is to survive, is by collecting revenue. If elected officials vote to raise taxes for this purpose, most likely they will not be re-elected and lose their jobs. As such, other forms of revenue harvesting are sought and implemented to accomplish this task. The imposed penalties on citizens’ assets is just another way of facilitating this. You see, if these agencies take your money, let it lay somewhere for a pre-determined period of time and then escheat it, you forfeit your right to recovery. Vela, instant cash in the slush fund and then a politician tells you how good they are at keeping your taxes low! Or maybe, your taxes haven’t gone up as much as everyone else’s.
Although this is the common illusion, no. With the exception of three states in the country, this money belongs to the original asset owner. These exception states are presently engaged in high court challenges.
This is kind of an unwritten penalty. At the end of a sale, the accounting is placed on a list, usually all numbers, asset identification, dates values, etc... There is no consistency of the physical list. It can be an excel spread sheet, word document, adobe .pdf file or ink pen on yellow legal paper. The lists are then held by any number of government agents, appointees or even private contractors. To expand on this, it can be held at any level of government. So, now that the money is well hidden in plain sight, the rightful owner would have to know that it belongs to them, know where it is and finally how to claim it.
We are a for profit company. That means at the end of the day, like you, we need a paycheck to pay employees, bills and other expenses. There are those that think the hard work of others should not be compensated. If we were to immediately divulge the location we would be taken advantage of. Our company’s business model dictates that a fully transparent disclosure be provided upon completing signing of letter of engagement and all other required documents. Copies will immediately be provided after the time of completion.
This is not a sales pitch it is a call to action! We are a performance based business and we only get paid a portion of the recovery when money is recovered. No recovery and no pay, no matter what. The amount we are paid is negotiated up front.! We never ask for money in advance. If someone does, don’t walk away, run ”it’s not us” If we call you, write you or email you, please don’t be foolish and ignore the contact. You could be dangerously close to escheatment. We have already done the heavy lifting, cut through the red tape and are ready to negotiate a recovery of your money on your behalf.
